Description

Episode 56 of our book read/podcast covering major topics in various fields of psychology moves us into COGNITIVE PSYCHOLOGY! And while there is no book (no viable open source ones exist) we plan to go through the core areas of cognition, memory, and more. This season, joining us is Dr. Alyssa Jones to act as our cognitive guide through the world outside of our social bubble.

In this episode we discuss SENSATION AND PERCEPTION through a discussion of hallucinations. Individuals hallucinate for a number of reasons, and all are aspects of cognition and perception where an individual sees, hears (or even smells, feels, or tastes) something that isn’t really there…but it is for that person. We discuss drug induced hallucinations, hallucinations associated with schizophrenia, and hallucinations in migraines. Special guest! Alyssa’s stompy upstairs neighbor!!!!
