Part 1 with “The Clarinet Guy” Eric Salazar. Eric is a professional musician, composer, and educator. Salazar holds a B.M. in Clarinet Performance from Ball State University and an M.M. in Clarinet Performance from Bowling Green State University. He currently serves as an Assistant Director of Community Engagement and Teaching Artist for Classical Music Indy where he manages, books, and promotes over a hundred and fifty performance events a year in Central Indiana. Eric pioneers the indie-classical genre, fusing his classical training with modern electronics with classical instruments, blending ancient styles with present musical trends. His latest clarinet solo album, Soul Search, was released with Centaur Records in 2017. The album contains recordings of Salazar's original compositions for solo clarinet and electronics.
