Welcome to Episode 8! On this episode, my friend Landen discusses the BOOK that he is writing on Christian Dating Culture. The purpose of the book, as Landen says, is not to provide dating advice (although there is some in it!), but to start a conversation about why a lot of people view christian dating culture as "toxic."
Landen and I dive into why he is writing this book and what it's about, and also touch on a few specific topics such as "ring by spring," "the ONE," the pressure to graduate with an Mrs. degree, what Biblical pursuit looks like . . . and I also learned that his spirit animal is a Komodo dragon.
In preparation for writing his own book, Landen has read numerous other books on marriage, dating, courting, etc., as well as listened to sermons and podcasts, conducted surveys, had conversations with people from secular and Christian universities, sought wisdom from married couples that he looks up to in his own life . . . this guy is the real deal, he knows what's up.
