Happy New Year and Welcome to An Encouraged Heart. This is Cynthia and thank you for joining me today. I would like to take a few minutes to express my appreciation to those who have encouraged me along my journey as a podcaster. As I said in one of the very first episodes, this is quite the oxymoron – a stutterer who has a podcast. This is nothing short of the grace of God. The graciousness of God, the steadfast love of God, the faithfulness of God - these are just a few attributes to describe who the Lord has been to me. Although 2020 was a challenging year to all of us for so many different reasons, I think that we can all, still, find reasons to be thankful for what the Lord has done for us, as well as shown us during this very difficult year.
Also, I would like to share with you several testimonies from friends and family who have recounted where they were when Jesus first called them and why they chose to accept the Lord’s invitation to follow Him. (Listen to the 5 Personal testimonies) I pray that you were blessed as you listened to each one of them. And, if you have not made a decision to follow Him, please consider doing so today.
Plan of Salvation - The Bible says… Romans 3:10 There is no one righteous, not even one; Romans 3:23 for all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God Romans 5:8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this way: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 10:9-10 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. If you have made a decision to follow Christ, I encourage you to find a church in your area that teaches the word and where you can be discipled, that is - be a part of a community of believers who can walk alongside you to help you grow spiritually.
