Justice Stephen Breyer announced last week that he plans on retiring from the Supreme Court of the United States, freeing up a vacancy that President Biden has pledged to fill with the Court’s first Black female justice. News Editor Rebeca Pereira spoke to Political Science professor Paul Collins about Justice Breyer’s retirement and what it means for the future of the Supreme Court.
Collins teaches in the UMass Amherst Political Science and Legal Studies departments.
