Hello, this is Dr. Deniz once again- welcome to my new Pocast, " Comprehensive Health & Wellness." Hoping that you all had a good workout this morning- I knocked out 44 sets working the entire body; and finished off with 20 minutes of interval training on the bike. Today, I wanted to discuss the 5 variables that can TURBOCHARGE your workouts. 1. The Number of Reps 2. The Number of Sets 3. The Speed of movement/lift 4. The Order of exercises 5. Rest intervals This is based on the principle of Periodization. In short, if we want optimal results, it is crucial and necessary to "SHOCK" the brain and body in a productive manner which provides a challenge to all of the systems. We need to change several of these variables every workout.
