This is Dr. Deniz, "The Wellness Doc" bringing you everything healthy for your mind, body, and soul. We had a special treat today; Uncle Pauly stopped by to discuss Descending sets or "Drop Sets." Have you ever hit a plateau when training? Most of us have and one of the ways to get past it is to change one or more of the 6 major variables (weight, sets, reps, speed of movement, rest intervals, and the order of exercises). In this case, we are changing the weight, reps, and rest intervals. In short, we start with heaviest weight for 8-10 reps, then a lighter weight for 10-15 reps, and lastly the lightest weight for 15-20 reps with no rest during these 3 sets.
