- Ishion Hutchinson is the author of three books of poetry and has won the National Book Critics Circle Award, the Rome Prize, a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Whiting Award, and other honors. His newest book, School of Instructions: Poems, explores the role of West Indian soldiers in WWI.
