O New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM) ou a Nova Onda do Metal Britânico foi um movimento musical do Reino Unido entre o fim dos anos 70 e começo dos anos 80.
O Iron Maiden, por exemplo, foi o grande expoente desse movimento. Mas há também muitas outras bandas que marcaram e foram influências para o mundo do heavy metal.
