In this edition of the Privilege Take, we review Moxie, a 2020 Netflix movie about a couple of high-school girls (two white women and three POC women largely) who decide they have had enough of misogyny in their high school (read: objectification without consent and inability to wear tank tops to school) and spark a revolution via a feminist mouthpiece entitled Moxie. This movie is the perfect example of trying too hard to be intersectional and not exploring it. White Feminism and "Male Feminists" Token Representation are just few of our problems with this movie.
