Description

This is a poem in one of the bengali local vernacular dialect. It echoes that Women's liberation can happen when every girl child from all parts of the World receive education. Gender equality is possible only when the girl child understands that education shows the way to independence. 

Sanjhli, a girl from rural Bengal who works as maid in so-called upper-class homes of the village, stands first in the  Board examination. This piece is a soliloquy of Sanjhli.
