My next guest has been in recovery for over thirty years. David Ludlow entered treatment at 123 pounds, broken and without a plan. He was given another 6 months to live if he refused to change his life. His life changed when he entered treatment.
While in treatment, he realized that sobriety only occurs when we become uncomfortable. Addiction is comfortable. Recovery, making amends, restructuring our lives is not comfortable.
David said, "If I am comfortable in recovery, I am in a bad place." Becoming rigorously authentic helped and helps David maintain his sobriety. David is engaged in the process of self- improvement not self-Sabotage, Self-Awareness not Self-destruction.
Take a few minutes to listen to David's journey and the tools he shares with the listeners that can help start the discussion with your loved ones.
