In todays episode of the Chase The Vase Podcast, I am honored to share the microphone with legendary Arizona Sports Anchor Kevin McCabe. As a young child, I watched Kevin work Arizona sports. It was our hope that Kevin would show up to our school to highlight our teams accomplishments on the local sports wrap up.
During this time, Kevin was in active addiction and struggling to keep his addiction private. He was friends with Charles Barkley and was a local in the Who's Who in Arizona. From an outsider looking in, it appeared as if Kevin was larger than life, but on the inside, he was hiding secrets that would soon be discovered. Ultimately, the affects of his addiction would cost him his career.
Kevin was faced with a metaphorical 500 pound gorilla standing in his path. He had a decision to make, face it or run from it! Kevin attacked it head on and overcame the biggest fight of his life. He stands sober today and is a beacon of hope for those struggling with addiction.
