How did a mother of 5 living in Utah end up with 8 years in Prison? From an outsider looking in, Portia had it all figured out. She was married to a wonderful man, she was a devote member of her local church community, was supportive of her 5 children all while running a successful photography business. As her photography business began to take off, she dipped her hands into the real-estate market. Her business exploded and she became lost in the adventure.
Portia was ultimately investigated by the FBI and remarkably sentenced to prison on Federal charges. The journey to prison was one to talk about, but her ability to overcome her addiction is even more remarkable. Portia had to detox on the prison floor. Once she got through it and identified her purpose, Portia changed the lives of the women she served with.
Portia's story is emotional and honest. She is strong and resilient. She overcame her demons and uses that motivation to share strength and hope with everyone she meets.
