It's really hard to develop a piece of technology for someone who is outside of your immediate point of reference. It’s really hard to imagine what it might be like. This is why we must collaborate with different groups of people to co-design new technologies. I’ve never, not once, ever met a technology developer young or old that was actively trying to exclude a group of users. But in order to include all users, we must take into account their diverse needs and preferences in creating new technology. Full transcript available on Medium.
