The crew begins the day with the "Take A Swing" segment, where they debate if Mizzou baseball can avoid a third consecutive SEC series sweep and if Mizzou softball's two recent victories are the beginning of a mid-season run. Mizzou baseball has lost 7 SEC contests straight, after beginning conference play 3-0 following a Tennessee sweep. The Tigers lost the series opener against No. 4 ranked Vanderbilt 7-6 after a late comeback attempt at Taylor Stadium. Game 2 of that series is tonight. First pitch is at 6:00 CT. Meanwhile, Mizzou softball collected their fifth-ranked victory in the series opener against No. 12-ranked LSU yesterday on the road. A 3-run sixth inning propelled Mizzou to an 8-6 comeback victory. Game 2 of this series is today at 6:00 CT. Around The Waves then transitions to the MLB where they discuss which team has impressed them the most through the first week of the season. Following baseball, the crew goes "onto the ice." Ian and Luca debate if it is a "win" or "bust" for the Boston Bruins this postseason due to their historic season. Lastly, the crew then transitions to the NBA where Ben discusses which two NBA teams in the Western Conference have the best chance of winning the play-in tournament.
