Description

In the 73rd episode of Around The Waves on KCOU 88.1 FM, Luca Vitale, Ben Schmidt, and Justin Craft begin the day with Mizzou women's and men's basketball.  The crew debates what the Mizzou women's basketball team's biggest flaw is as they face a three-game losing skid, all coming from conference. It doesn't get much easier for the Tigers when Tennessee comes into town this Sunday. The Volunteers are at the top of the SEC and undefeated in conference play. Tip-off is scheduled for 2:00 CT. Meanwhile, Around The Waves debates if the Mizzou men's basketball teams can upset nationally ranked Alabama. The Tigers used a late run to secure a 79-76 victory over nationally ranked Arkansas on Wednesday, securing their 3rd win over a ranked opponent this season. Alabama is easily Missouri's biggest SEC test this season. Tip-off is scheduled for Saturday at 5:00 CT.  Around The Waves transitions to the NFL, where they debate if the New York Giants can upset the Philadelphia Eagles and if San Francisco 49ers' quarterback Brock Purdy will flourish against the Dallas Cowboys. Furthermore, the crew debates which quarterback they trust more: Josh Allen or Joe Burrow. Lastly, Around The Waves debates if Tom Brady will return another season after going one-and-done in the playoffs for just the 4th in his career. Next week we'll invite our next guest(s) to the show, so stay tuned!
