In the 55th episode of Around The Waves on KCOU 88.1 FM, Luca Vitale, Ben Schmidt, and Ryan Waelterman begin the day with the "Take A Swing" segment, where they debate if Mizzou baseball can capture a crucial SEC series win against the Ole Miss Rebels on the road. The Tigers find themselves with an opportunity to make the SEC tournament with three SEC opponents remaining. The Tigers and Rebels enter the series as part of a three-way tie for the 12th and final spot in the SEC tournament. Moreover, the crew debates No. 23 Mizzou softball's biggest factor contributing to their turnaround. The Tigers have enjoyed a significant rise in the SEC standings thanks to a scorching offense. On April 19th, Missouri was No. 10 in the conference. Two weeks and seven wins later, the Tigers have vaulted into fourth. Around The Waves transitions to the NHL where Ryan and Luca discuss the St. Louis Blues and Minnesota Wild series as the series heads to St. Louis for games 3 and 4 with both teams claiming a victory in St. Paul.
