In the 59th episode of Around The Waves on KCOU 88.1 FM, Luca Vitale, Ben Schmidt, and Ryan Waelterman begin the day with a Mizzou football preview as the Tigers travel to the Little Apple to take on the Kansas State Wildcats. The last time these two schools met was on October 8th, 2011. The Wildcats won that game 24-17 in Manhattan. Both teams won their opening games last weekend in convincing fashion. Game action is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. CST. Around The Waves transitions to the MLB, "America's pastime", where they debate if the New York Yankees are doomed come postseason. The Bronx Bombers' double-digit division lead has shrunk to 5 games as the Blue Jays are heating up and the Rays are always better than most people believe. The crew transitions to the NFL where they discuss which non-NFL playoff team from last season has the best chance of making the postseason this season.
