Working in consulting as a woman certainly has its challenges, but like my background/heritage/race, I don’t often think about it and carry on obliviously as if I was just like anyone else. It’s likely been quite naïve on my part (helped, I’m sure, due to many of the privileges I’ve had) but I found it has helped me teach people how to treat me, as I expect to be treated equally, fairly and with respect like any one of my peers or those around me. I haven’t been afraid of being the only woman in a meeting or as part of the team, and my colleagues/firms have always recognized me for my skills and accomplishments"
Devi Rajani has been involved in numerous Latin American restructurings with debt totaling over USD$75 billion. In addition, she has been involved in the receivership of Canada’s second-largest charter airline. Devi is an accomplished Chartered Professional Accountant whose expertise includes performing due diligence, assisting financially troubled companies, reviewing business plans, undertaking receiverships, preparing companies for U.S. Chapter 11 filings, advising and assisting in various creditor requests and financial modeling. Devi is one of the Winners of M &A Advisors 11th Annual Emerging Leaders Awards.
