The Treasure coast is located on the Atlantic coast of Florida compromising of Indian river, St Lucie, Martin, some Palm Beach counties, and Sebastian Vero beach. The name references the fleet of 11 Spanish treasure ships that sunk on July 1st 1715 in a hurricane. Gold still washes ashore to this day there. The Schmitt family and Tommy Thompson are among those that found some of the most valuable parts of the treasure.
