Description

The Young Professionals Podcast (TYPP), proudly brought to you by ADAPT Careers (https://adaptcareers.com.au) and co-hosted by Luke Marriott and Nicholas Sargeant (Sarge).

Today we chat with Tyson Woodland, a Business Development Manager at Eventbrite (https://www.eventbritecareers.com/home), specialising in Music Partnerships.

Tyson graduated from Swinburne University with a Bachelor of Business (https://bit.ly/3gKI4GP), co-majoring in International Business and Marketing. No longer than 24 hours after he finished his last exam, Tyson moved to London to learn what living outside of Australia was like. While in London, Tyson worked in a operational contracting role at Twickenham Stadium (https://www.twickenhamstadium.com) during the 2015 Rugby World Cup, before pivoting into a sales role, where he was responsible for finding travellers to fill roles for Au Pair, volunteering, teaching and teaching English abroad programs.

Tyson then returned to Melbourne where he joined Uber Eats (https://www.uber.com/us/en/careers) to help scale their expansion process in metro Melbourne. Upon the recommendation of a few friends and colleagues, Tyson began the process of working at Eventbrite, working cross-vertically with event creators before moving into the music sector specifically.
