The Young Professionals Podcast (TYPP), proudly brought to you by ADAPT Careers (https://adaptcareers.com.au) and co-hosted by Luke Marriott and Nicholas Sargeant (Sarge).
This week we dive into the agricultural industry with Dave McKeon, CEO of GrainGrowers (https://www.graingrowers.com.au), a leading advocacy group for Australian grain farmers, representing their interests at a national and international level.
Dave studied a Bachelor of Agriculture and Applied Sciences at Charles Sturt University (https://study.csu.edu.au/courses/agricultural-wine-sciences/bachelor-agriculture), after which he worked in various farm management roles throughout New South Wales, before landing a Graduate Job at the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
Dave delve into understanding the argiculural policy landscape during his years at the government, before eventually making the shift into industry, where he has worked with the National Farmers' Federation (https://nff.org.au) and then GrainGrowers.
