We're on a mission to help one million people RISE by 2030 - join the movement at www.myrise.co.uk
I mentioned in a blog last year that Iâd watched the âA star is bornâ film with Lady GaGa and Bradley Cooper.
Good film, somewhat let down by not being able to tell what Bradley and his brother were saying.
AnywayâŚâŚâŚ
As a lot of people probably did having seen it, I downloaded the âShallowâ song straight after.
And then, as a I often do, played it to death.
I recently downloaded a couple more songs from the Soundtrack when flicking through my âRecommended for youâ list.
And am currently ruining âAlways remember us this wayâ by playing it too much
I do find though that, the more I listen to songs, the more different lyrics jump out at me.
And one recently did with this one.
Unfortunately, having just googled it, Iâve found that I misheard the lyric.
But I like my version more so am going to stick with that and the point I was going to make.
The line goes;
âWe donât know how to rhyme but damn we tryâ
But, I heard;
âWe donât know how to run but damn we tryâ
Either way, the point is still valid.
We donât need to know.
Itâs nice when we do.
But, damn, we can still try when we donât.
And weâll only ever know by trying.
If weâre struggling to make better food choices, live a healthier lifestyle, etcâŚâŚâŚâŚ
Then weâll only ever get better at that by trying.
It wonât come and get us.
Not doing it is the surest way to carry on not doing it.
Just keep trying and, worst case scenario, youâll make more progress than you wouldâve done through not trying!
Much love,
Jon âIâll Wait for Youâ Hall
