We're on a mission to help one million people RISE by 2030 - join the movement at www.myrise.co.uk

I mentioned in a blog last year that I’d watched the ‘A star is born’ film with Lady GaGa and Bradley Cooper.

Good film, somewhat let down by not being able to tell what Bradley and his brother were saying.

Anyway………

As a lot of people probably did having seen it, I downloaded the ‘Shallow’ song straight after.

And then, as a I often do, played it to death.

I recently downloaded a couple more songs from the Soundtrack when flicking through my “Recommended for you” list.

And am currently ruining “Always remember us this way” by playing it too much

I do find though that, the more I listen to songs, the more different lyrics jump out at me.

And one recently did with this one.

Unfortunately, having just googled it, I’ve found that I misheard the lyric.

But I like my version more so am going to stick with that and the point I was going to make.

The line goes;

“We don’t know how to rhyme but damn we try”

But, I heard;

“We don’t know how to run but damn we try”

Either way, the point is still valid.

We don’t need to know.

It’s nice when we do.

But, damn, we can still try when we don’t.

And we’ll only ever know by trying.

If we’re struggling to make better food choices, live a healthier lifestyle, etc…………

Then we’ll only ever get better at that by trying.

It won’t come and get us.

Not doing it is the surest way to carry on not doing it.

Just keep trying and, worst case scenario, you’ll make more progress than you would’ve done through not trying!

Much love,

Jon ‘I’ll Wait for You’ Hall
