This week, Hope and Madelyn are diving into RESPECT (2021), directed by Liesl Tommy and written by Tracey Scott Wilson. Aretha Franklin is an icon, though the film may not be as iconic as her. It does a great job at telling the story of her life which we love, and the period costumes are stunning! Overall, a great time to celebrate Aretha’s life.
