John Madden the Broadcaster tribute. It is hard to describe why Madden meant so much. It’s like Johnny Carson (Letterman, Conan for younger) when they retire. There’s such a volume of footage, how do you really explain it?
I’m off work this week, so I watched much of the below telecasts, jotted down things that best exemplified Madden’s knowledge, his charisma, his authenticity, and the fun he brought.
