In tonight's episode we had the pleasure of interviewing Bess Perry-Garcia. She showed another side of our "Schooling and Parenting" theme. Home School! Last week we got some great gems from the public school side. In this episode Bess shared her experiences as a Home School Teacher. Is it challenging? Yes. Can parenting be challenging? Absolutely. Bess gave us the different options and types of Home Schooling from One-on-One learning to outdoor nature based classes to co-op parent-led groups to online learning as well. Education comes in many forms and Home Schooling has definitely evolved and become more common than it was a decade ago. Bess is also an advocate of The Arts with a background as an Art Teacher and expertise in Photography. She currently teaches for Kind Academy which offers traditional as well as alternative learning not formally taught in many public schools both in-person and virtual.
