After four days off, the Lakers returned to action Friday night against the Pistons at Staples. They were without LeBron James for the third straight game as he continues to nurse a groin injury but welcomed back Dennis Schroder and Thomas Bryant. The latter two players made their season debuts in their second stint in purple and gold.

Detroit came in at a measly 3 and 13, but they looked like the old Bad Boy Pistons at times in the first half, when they led by as many as 14. The Lakers finished the second quarter strong however, and went into the break up four.

The resurgent Anthony Davis followed up his 37 point 18 rebound performance on Sunday with 38 and 16 tonight. Five other Lakers scored in double figures as the Lake Show pulled away late for a one twenty eight one twenty one victory. They moved to four and 10 on the year and look ahead to Sunday’s meeting with the Spurs.
