Do you control your emotions, or do they control you? I'm all for feeling our feelings, but in the heat of the moment, we can get carried away. The 5 second rule is known for helping you to curb hesitation, so that you can act on instinct and achieve your goals. By the same token, taking 5 seconds to not react when sh*t hits the fan can help you regulate your emotions, so that you can act from the better version of you.
