A weekly update on the top stories, highlights and achievements of women in sport. Our goal is to share the stories of female athletes, and to make news about women's sport easily accessible.
Around The Grounds - Lana Rogers wins back to back Nutri-Grain Iron Woman Titles, coach Liz Mills becomes first woman to lead a men's national team to a Continental Championship, and golfers Steph Kyriacou and Sarah Wilson will be the first women to play in the QLD Open tournament against the blokes. Our top story of the week is dual athlete Jess Duffin returning to the AFLW after 714 days, following giving birth to daughter Georgie.
In The Presser, we speak to Professor Clare Hanlon about research findings from a Victoria University study, around the importance of girls feeling comfortable and confident in their uniforms in order to keep them playing sport.
