Welcome all to todays exclusive edition of THE WORK IT SERIES.We look at BANANA VILLAGE & MONKEY VILLAGE ( 2 slums in Garki District in the heart of Abuja).We look at the work life & economic growth of the people of this village's (UN SDG goal 8) as it pertains sustainable cities and communities(UN SDG goal11).These slums are very close to the old federal secretariat Abuja and were areas of active demolition after this production.Do you think the FCT should continue to demolish these slums or build a low cost housing for these people?Will these people be able to recover from this demolition with the present economic realities in Nigeria?Pls we need your opinion.
