We had a roundtable discussion to address the security issues emerging in the informal waste sector.It was the best and most exhaustive meeting of formal and informal waste pickers in Abuja.The meeting which held on Thur 27 Oct 2022 at the Ministry Of Environment Abuja had in attendance the CEO of Chanja Datti with 2 other formal Abuja waste pickers,Nigerian Police,the Civil Defence, staff of NIMC, staff of NOA , the representative of the Bola community,AEPB ,AIT and The Bow(my team).We explored a day time period for the Bola men to operate and the possibility for the Bola people(scavengers) to wear reflective jackets that have QR codes(inorder to enable that they can be tracked).
