El 4 de abril de 2009 murió Eduardo "Lalo" Parra, folclorista, músico, compositor y cantautor chileno. Perteneciente a la primera generación de la conocida familia Parra, fue hermano de Nicanor, Hilda, Violeta, Roberto y Lautaro, entre otros.
