El día 26 de mayo de 1739 se fundó la ciudad de Los Ángeles. Conocida en esos años como Villa de Los Ángeles, tiene lugares emblemáticos como la Laguna Esmeralda, la Capilla de San Sebastián y la Plaza de Armas.
