Description

To celebrate Filipino American History Month (FAHM) I dedicate this episode to talking about Filipino history and the contributions made by three Filipina women in American society. In the first half, I tell the lives of Dorothy Laigo Cordova, Thelma Garcia Buccholdt, and Cristeta Comerford. Though each woman has a different story, their end goal was always to create change for the the Filipino community and uplift their people. And as the episode comes to a close, I open up about my cultural disconnect but inevitably voice out how proud I am to be Filipino-American.
