Principles and Pleas for Repentance and Restoration
Three Principles
1. Confrontation is often necessary for repentance to occur.
2. Genuine repentance grasps the depths of sinfulness.
3. Because genuine repentance is the work of God, restoration is possible for the penitent.
Three Pleas
1. The content of our plea: We plead to God for mercy and cleansing.
2. The attitude of our plea: We plead with honesty and contrition.
3. The purpose of our plea: We plead for renewal and restoration.
