Revisiting old episodes and here’s one I did about a year ago with actor Bill Posley about his one man show ABOUT THE SHOW:
The Day I Became Black is created, written and performed by Posley (CBS’s The Neighborhood, Netflix’s Glow), with direction by Bente Engelstoft (The Ellen DeGeneres Show).
Nominated for Best Solo Show and Top of the Fringe at the 2018 Hollywood Fringe Festival, the show details Bosley's experience of growing up biracial in America. Until the age of 10, Posley was happy to identify as both races, until he learns that society, ultimately, always chooses an identity for him. The Day I Became Black is a story of finding the comedy in the struggle to fit in and just be yourself.
