Steve Xie started his Edtech startup (https://www.careershe.com/en.html) after MBA in Oxford as an extension of his Entrepreneurship project and is based now in both Shenzhen and Singapore. Prior to his MBA, he was working as a strategy and business development manager for a top German multinational, mainly focusing on M&A projects across Asia Pacific.

Careershe is bridging the gap between the academic world and careers by providing transparency to students on careers so that students can make a better decision during the academic pathways. Careershe hopes to reduce their anxiety and dilemma but most importantly reduce the social cost of students leaving careers after a short stint and realizing that they have wasted significant amount of time and resources acquiring technical skills that they will not use in the future. Also, Careershe believes there will be significant savings from corporates, institutions spent on recruiting, training these misallocated talents. Most importantly, by providing transparency across careers and making it available to all students regardless of their economic status, Careershe hopes to level the playing field from the haves and haves not and also give students a sense of purpose and reason on why they need to work hard in their education.
