Our standardised educational systems unfortunately focus too much on developing the four skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking), but there's a fifth skill, which I call becoming an independent learner.

As an independent learner, you know how to distinguish passive from active vocabulary and find the resources and learning material that match your personal and professional objectives for learning the language.

Understanding this difference will massively improve your ability to learn yogic vocabulary for teaching yoga in English and speaking about yogic topics with your students and colleagues!
