Throughout the interview, Dr. Brown speaks about the value of spirituality, the power of listening, and the importance of the church, the family, and the school system in her upbringing in Louisiana. She highlights the importance of social justice issues like voting, poverty, and the lasting impacts of the War on Drugs on Black families today.
