Since it first aired in 1977, Emmet Otter’s Jug Band Christmas has been a family favorite here in the U.S. Muppets Emmet Otter and his Ma are poor, but they have each other. As Christmas is coming, Emmet wants to buy his mom a new piano, and she wants to buy him a new guitar. In this version of “Gift of the Magi” they each sacrifice something for the other in an attempt to win a talent contest to buy their gifts.
