In this episode I answer the question "What was hard this year and how do I hope onto hope?" It's a question that was first posed to me by another behavior analyst, Jessica Zielske, who had invited me onto an Instagram live talk with 7 other behavior analysts.
In answering this question, I talked about where I started last year--pregnant and hopeful for the future--and go from there. I talk about the struggles I had personally and professionally, how COVID changed my plans for the future, and then I bring it all back to this question; how do you hold onto hope...when things get hard? And, what is hope anyway? Is there a kind of hope that brings us closer to the life we want or simply away from what's hard?
***Please be aware that I talk about a miscarriage in this episode. If this is a topic that you find difficult to listen to, please practice self-compassion and skip this episode for now until you're ready to hear it in full.***
Finally, I want to say that I don't have a guest for this epsiode--rather, I share my thoughts on this year and my personal experience. In the new year I will plan on sharing more stories of transformation and change. If you are interested in sharing one of your stories, please reach out to me via email at gabbie@actinspiredbehaviorcoaching.com, send me a message on Instagram @actinspiredbehavior, or go to my website at www.actinspiredbehaviorcoaching.com.
I'd love to hear from you!
