Romans 7:14-17
Struggling with Sin
14 So the trouble is not with the law, for it is spiritual and good. The trouble is with me, for I am all too human, a slave to sin. 15 I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate. 16 But if I know that what I am doing is wrong, this shows that I agree that the law is good. 17 So I am not the one doing wrong; it is sin living in me that does it.

SHOW NOTES
Trevor and his student that he could push to the limit.
We should be like that student where God can take us to the limit.
God will not give you more than you will handle
Are we at our current max or have we not done what we were supposed to do for the "next step."
There are some things that all christians should be doing:
Of course we should be reading the bible and praying. but there is also more!
We are called to love each other (patient and kind).
Help the poor.
Hebrews is so good. Hebrews gives us the examples of people of faith.
Faith is by design hard and something you don't want to do, it's supposed to be something that seems impossible.
Have we missed god's call? or have we not given God the chance to speak to us.
Dave went to visit a friend to share his faith out of obedience to God.
Even King David felt at times that he did not hear God.
Paul makes God seem like a Gremlin sometimes. "it is sin living in me that does it."
One of the most relatable verses in the bible. "I don’t really understand myself, for I want to do what is right, but I don’t do it. Instead, I do what I hate."
We have experienced doing what we hate instead of what is right.
We lack the strength to simply will ourselves not to sin.
If we were able to define our own Law, we wouldn't even be able to follow that.
We are a slave to what we obey.
Every act we do is in service to some purpose.
However, the Holy Spirit is stronger than the sin living in me.
Serve the Holy Spirit first.
