Like the towers of Babel
Confusion divides us well
Barriers are innate in our speech
Casting our pride on our tribe
We sell those we hate easily
For we can’t see our own reflection
The more we see, we open up
But most of us stay the same
In one place, until we depart
Language is rooted in preservation
But it’s also the impolite delight of belittlement,
Especially to our own brothers and sisters
How can we stand against another continent?
When there’s too much pride in heritage
Instead we compete for prestige
No wonder it never takes much to conquer us
We respect billionaires more than our own people
We leap to the knowledge of pride in us and fight
Ourselves
