Stranded in a foreign land
Turned into a slave for the king.
Little did you think of freedom.
Four hundred years seemed
Like eternity in an abandoned island
Pharaoh’s land is God’s planetary
Nothing is out of reach for the God of gods
Even if kings’ rule with metal.
The order of their tight grip crumbles
Like the books on a secured library
It all comes to an end some day
Who knew that Moses, would lead?
God had a plan to show kings,
That there is only one king, who rules on earth
God is above the earthly way
The blood on the doorpost motions
Peace with God, but demise,
For those who are outside the covenant.
In the wild, the enemy tested the people
As they were ruled by their emotions
It was the shadow of what is, and was to come
As the people failed to enter the promised land
Flooding with milk and honey
The struggle was a glimpse of a ray of hope
In the Son of God, who escorts us back home
As the Son of Man is crucified for our sins
We are all afflicted in his death for us, and by
Our own hands, we are all guilty, and have fallen
Short of God’s glory; and only the blood of the
Precious lamb of God can allow us to enter in His
Rest…
