Other nations fought hard to erase the wisdom
The oldest people of origin still survive today
Africa will wake up when it unites for same
Division has long divided Africa of its senses
The boarders made Africa a tribe of clusters
No one wants to acknowledge that we are one
Ideologies and formation of evolution erode us
People cry ‘foul’, while pushing their own agenda
The trees can speak of how many times trust is broken
Branches are not enough to tell of broken promises
Lies are told daily and fed to the people like bread
Our staple meal is how can we sell Africa for more
Enriched by our knowledge of self, but not of our people
Peace is traded for acceptance with the rest of the world
At the expense of trading one oppressor for another
The lesser of two evils always manages to take Africa
For a joy ride around the world,
While its heartbeat fades away.
