From the song Brave. I love this song so much because it is so sad, and I first heard it from an episode of shameless; actually, it was the last episode I watched because it was so negative. But I love that show, and I plan to at some point to finish it. However, I have been listening to this song for a few years, and I have to say, when it comes down to that line, "Directions mean nothing when you are standing in the dark." I put this back to the life you can have the plan to do something, but life happens, and you can't see what you have to do. When you are in the dark, directions really mean nothing. The other day well, during Halloween, I went to a haunting fest, and there was a dark room; in the darkroom, it was pitch black, and you could see nothing. The directions they gave meant nothing because I didn't know which way to go.
