FOOTBALL IS BACK - and so are we for a fourth season! Our beloved Adelaide United return to competitive action this Sunday in the FFA Cup with a trip to face Perth's Floreat Athena in what will undoubtedly be a tough outing for the Reds, who haven't even played a friendly in the lead-up!  Joining us to preview the blockbuster clash is a Floreat club legend and the former Director of Football at Adelaide United, Ante Kovacevic. In a wide-ranging chat, Ante talks about how he thinks the Reds are getting on as we gear towards another A-League season, how Carl Veart should tinker with his midfield options, Floreat's danger players, the intimidating venue, how he rates our preparation going into the encounter as well as profiling the Floreat team which recently made the WA National Premier Leagues Grand Final.

Ante also winds back the clock on his eventful playing career in Australia, where he won titles at Melbourne Knights FC and saw the great Mark Viduka top score the NSL as a 16-year old and clocked nearly 300 top flight matches in Australia with Adelaide City FC, Green Gully SC, South Melbourne FC, Adelaide Croatia Raiders, Saint Albans City F.C, Perth Glory and Selangor FC in Malaysia.

Kovacevic also recounts his time at Adelaide United in the difficult role of Director of Football where he oversaw the club win its maiden A-league Championship. Ante reveals what the mood was really like behind the scenes in those notorious first 8 games of the 2015/16 season and details the difficult decisions he had to make, such as letting go of Eugene Galekovic to bring in Paul Izzo during the Marco Kurz era. The NSL legend also reminisces over his time at Floreat in Perth across multiple stints as a player and coach.
