Iconic South Australian player and Adelaide United's maiden Youth Team coach, Joe Mullen, joins us in the studio to preview our clash against the Central Coast Mariners in Round 11 of 2019/20, off the back of his unprecedented successes with Campbelltown City Soccer Club in the 2019 National Premier Leagues. Among a plethora of topics, Joe discusses what it was like to grow up playing football at a time when football in Australia was a game only played by immigrants before making the move to Adelaide City FC in the NSL before finding his way as a coach, eventually becoming Adelaide United's first ever Youth Team coach as well as the club's coach in the AFC Asian Champions League on a technical basis. Joe also sinks his teeth into the current state of The Reds and describes his experiences guiding Campbelltown through their 2019 FFA Cup campaign as well as his time at the club in general.
