Well in this episode we discuss two cartoon classics and like their creators they are two legendary names that even 60 years later we remember fondly, The Flintstones and The Jetsons. The Flintstones (00:01:18) This popular animated television cartoon featured two Stone Age families, the Flintstones and their neighbors, the Rubbles. Much of the humor was based on its comic portrayals of modern conveniences, reinterpreted using Stone Age 'technology.' In the pilot episode friends Fred and Barney attempt to get out of an opera by faking ill all the while they just want to go bowling.
The Jetsons (00:41:23) The Jetsons are a family living in the future. They have all manner of technological appliances to help around the house, but it doesn’t seem to be enough. George Jetson is tasked by his wife to finally ask for that raise and in the attempt to do so he ends up inviting his overbearing boss Mr. Spacely to dinner. Meanwhile, his wife, Jane Jetson, is trying to convince him they need a maid.
